A Message From the superintendent
August 2018
Welcome to the 2018-19 School Year!
All of us at Ledyard Public Schools are working to ensure each of our students has an amazing year of learning and growing. This year over 2,500 students will attend classes taught by our dedicated faculty. We are confident that Ledyard Public Schools represents the highest quality option for students, Pre-K to 12. As you explore the vast opportunities available to students in and out of the classroom, I am sure you will see why Ledyard public Schools is the best choice.
This year we will be introducing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at our elementary and middle schools. The PBIS framework is a research-based method that will assist each of our school communities in their continued efforts in making all of our schools positive places to learn.
We are committed to working with every stakeholder to build on our strong history of excellence, innovation and community involvement. Together we can ensure each and every one of our students continues to have a great educational experience and achieves academic success.
I thank you for your continued support of our children and I encourage you to remain involved in our schools. Should you have any questions, concerns or great news to share, please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of our team.
Sincerely,
Jason S. Hartling
Superintendent of Schools
