While a specific time has not been given for each unit, it is important the units are taught sequentially. As time permits, another community in addition to New London/Norwich may be compared.

RECOMMENDED ACTIVITIES:
Establish penpals with buddies in Norwich or New London school.
Create graphs comparing/contrasting Ledyard with New London or Norwich (use Strategic Profiles).
Investigate and compare one historical figure from each community and their impact.
Using post cards from Unit 1 performance task, write and mail to your pen pal or a relative.
Look at the Real Estate section of the newspaper. Compare prices and talk about why there might be a difference.
