MAP AND GLOBE SKILLS

Map skills are intended to be integrated into the curriculum as much as possible.

Objectives: The student will:

Define a map as a special picture of the earth or part of the earth.

Identify the blue areas on a globe or map as water and the other colors as representing land.

Recognize the United States on a map and globe.

Identify the four main/cardinal directions: north, south, east and west.
